• Total CBD (e.g. 1,000mg). The amount of CBD in the whole bottle. This is the number to compare between products.
• CBD per drop (e.g. 5mg). Not every label shows this, but it is the most useful number for working out your routine. A 10ml bottle holds roughly 200 drops, so 1,000mg ÷ 200 = 5mg per drop.
• Ingredients. A simple CBD oil has two: hemp extract and a carrier oil such as hemp seed oil. Fewer, recognisable ingredients is a good sign.
• THC-free. Only trust this when it’s backed by a lab report showing THC “not detected”.
• Batch number and best-before date. These let you match the bottle to its lab report.

Your first two weeks with CBD oil

There is no single correct amount of CBD; people find what suits them by starting low and adjusting slowly. A simple approach many of our customers use:

CBD myths worth ignoring

“More is always better”

A bigger number on the label isn’t automatically better value. Compare the cost per mg and check the lab report: a bottle claiming a high strength without a report is a gamble.

“Hemp oil and CBD oil are the same thing”

How to store CBD oil

CBD oil keeps best somewhere cool and dark, with the lid screwed on tightly. A kitchen cupboard away from the cooker is ideal; a sunny windowsill or a hot car is not. Light, heat and air slowly break down the oil, which is why good CBD oils come in dark glass bottles.
